    ROMENERGO is established as a state-owned foreign trade enterprise dedicated to make the imports of license, equipment and technical assistance for Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant and to assure training of the Romanian personnel involved in nuclear field.


    1982
    The object of activity of the company is enlarged with export activities, namely export of equipment, installations, complex projects or parts of them for thermal and hydroelectric power plants, as well as other industrial equipment and installations, including engineering and designing works, erection and commissioning, technical assistance and training. Besides all that, ROMENERGO is nominated coordinator of counter-trade and barter activities.

    1990 - today
    ROMENERGO is reorganized as joint stock company, increases its registered capital and privatizes. From now on, ROMENERGO focalizes on diversification  by adding new products and services to its traditional business: procurement, consulting, financial engineering, supply, distribution & sale of electricity, tourism and food industry within distinct divisions, making important steps toward the objective of complementing its core skills with new areas of practice. At the same time, ROMENERGO' s commitment to solidify and strengthen its position both on Romanian and International market materialized in acquisitions of shares in other companies. Step by step, ROMENERGO got a holding structure and inflows of technical, human and material resources.
